One of the better ways to find the best, most interesting or tastiest products at a show is to look for the booths getting the most interest. Below are our current "most popular" booths so far. We didn't include the beverage section, mainly because we can't test their wares until after the show closes, so we won't know what's hot there for a while.

Jon Coffin of Motion Technology , shows off the Autofry.

This is a ventless deep-fryer. It has a small footprint and from the fact that it is working at the show, it is obvious that the ventless technology really works. I watched a batch of potato croquettes placed in the basket cook and then be delivered to a waiting serving tray. There's a big temperature dial on the front and I suspect that the Autofry is pretty idiot proof. "The product is ideal for restaurants where the operator does not want to install a vent for a conventional fryer," said Jon.

This is a very clever product that is suitable for many situations where space is limited and fried products are used.

_mg_8823.jpg Turbo Chef - Tornado combined oven and microwave.

So you wanna be like Dunkin Donuts and cook food in few seconds? Even if you have heard about this combination technology, you won't believe how fast it cooks until you see it for yourself. It's a bit like induction heating - it happens unbelievably fast. Up to 12 times as fast as a regular oven according to the manufacturer.

The oven is part convection oven and part microwave. It browns and crisps foods at a speedy clip - but things look and taste like they came out of a regular oven. Paul Phoenix, corporate chef demonstrated the oven's speed and versitility.

_mg_8826.jpg Joseph's - Gourmet Pasta and Sauces

These guys have a primo spot just inside the main doors of the show hall. Offering a range of very attractive ravioli products that look and taste home made. Peter Iwanicki was doing terrific business ()at the moment mainlt from hungry booth stafff) and getting compliments from everyone who tried the products.

Offered in a range that includes: Striped Lobster Ravioli a la Vodka, Sausage and Broccolini Ravioli, Roasted Butternut Squash, Maryland Blue Crab and Duck Confit Agnolotti - there's something for every menu.
